Fold-over Note Card – Set of 10
“Aubrey”
Printed in fall, 2015
My father-in-law was kind enough to gift me this linocut. He made it in high school during the 1950s when printing presses could still be found in North American schools. I pulled prints from it a few years later and surprised him with a personalized note card set. When he opened the box it took him a minute to register that he was staring at artwork he’d created over 60 years ago.
Antique linocut put to rest on fine Italian paper finished with deckle edges.
Imperfectly handmade and 90% human-powered on a 1950s Vandercook Galley Proof press at Centre3 in Hamilton, Canada.
